Colleges taking away students freedom of speech?

So I have always wondered if colleges really allow student to be free to speak and share there thoughts through out the school. Which there are clearly limits as to how free a student is to speak on matters. I found a very interesting site that talks about student suing college for a violation of freedom of speech. It has legal documents and everything. Yikes the school didn't really think things out in Ohio... There are many different student groups and how best to get your study group together then hanging up flyer's to get other students interested in what you are. Well one student in Ohio found this to be not as easy as what was thought. The school made the student a permit to be able to hang flyer's at the school campus. Wait? aren't those bulletins hanging around the school meant for students to hang adds or events on? You would think right? Anyways back to the story, Once the student had obtained a permit they were restricted to use only speech zone location. Yes that was singular. The student was only allowed to place their flyer's at one location of the school. How is that being free to express your interest and get others who express them same to group up with you. The is a college for heavens sake. There are students everywhere, class rooms everywhere. Not everyone goes by the same areas? This is where the violation of the individual is happening. They were being limited as to how they could put out their group . This is crazy I have never heard of such a thing... I as well feel this is taking away ones freedom of speech. How can a school determine where students can put up there groups or pass out their flyer's? It is ludicrous if you ask me.  I feel as students we should have no limits as to where or how we get across to other students. As long as there is no harm being done or no violation to what we are doing of course.

So what is freedom of speech?

So what is really considered freedom of speech?? I sit to ponder on what it truly means to be free to voice whatever it is I feel entitled to. Are there limits? Can one truly be as free to express themselves without being ridiculed for it? Under our First Amendment we are protected to speak freely but it can only be covered up to a limit. I do believe there are many limits as to what we can say. I can't just up and say to my boss " well I don't feel like doing that, Maybe you can do it." WOW!! I guess if I were to say those words I might as well back up by stuff and stand in line at the nearest unemployment office. Whether your saying something people believe in or just something you believe in, there will always be someone that just doesn't get it and will ridicule you for it. It's apart of human life. I guess we should just go with the flow of things and just be silent?? Yeah that would never work for me. I have way to much to say, I don't understand how some just shove their hands in their mouths and remain silent. EXERCISE your rights!! Be you, be free, Speak up and let the world hear!
